The Spanish Franchise Association, in collaboration with ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones and the Cajamar cooperative bank, have prepared a report called The Spanish Franchise in the World 2023, which analyzes the expansion capacity of large companies in our country.
After some bad years economically speaking, 2023 has brought a little hope in the near future, because several franchises have managed to improve their data, expand further and even reach countries in which they did not have a presence in the previous year 2022.

Starting at the end, reading the report it can be concluded that the year 2023 has brought, compared to 2022, an increase in all the economic variables of large franchises. Today there are, in fact, 305 franchises spread across five continents, which represents a growth of 5.9% compared to 2022, in which there were 288 franchises spread around the world.
26.82% of Spanish franchises, therefore, are currently, in 2023, present in 140 countries. Last year, in 2022, there was one less franchise, and, therefore, 18,808 operating centers, compared to 19,336 this year.
